I would also like to announce that Mike Restle has agreed to be the Den Leader for Tiger Den A.  We know that Mike will do a great job and Mike feel free to call upon the committee for any assistance.

We are now in the final week of popcorn sales.  From what I’ve heard, the sales this year are going well.  Please make sure you use this weekend as a final opportunity to get those last few sales to achieve the goal your scout set.  Please turn in your order forms to your den leader by Thursday, October 30.  What happens next?

Our pack’s popcorn order will ship in mid-November and be available for den leaders to pick-up at my house on Sunday, November 23.  They will then distribute to their dens (along with a copy of the scouts order form).  Scouts are asked to use the period of November 23 to December 13 to deliver popcorn and collect money.  Money and order forms are due back to den leaders by December 13.  All checks should be made payable to Pack 867.  Regarding cash, you can choose to turn in cash or write one check encompassing the cash if you prefer.

Prizes will be distributed during our senior center visits in December.  Please make sure that your scout notes on his form what prize he wants.  Remember that a scout can select more than one prize if at a sufficient level of sales to accommodate it (e.g. $600 in sales, a scout could select one prize at level 6 or one prize at levels 5 and 3).  Following is the link to the prize options.   http://www.danbeard.org/finance/linked/Prize_Sheets.pdf

Finally, remember that each scout that fills up an order form gets a ticket into our pack’s drawing for a $200 Game Stop gift certificate and gets a free ticket to CoCo Key Waterpark for Scout Days in February.
